"You know, when I first went into the movies Lionel Barrymore played my grandfather. Later he played my father and finally he played my husband. If he had lived I'm sure I would have played his mother. That's the way it is in Hollywood. The men get younger and the women get older."

I just got back from the New York Post|Production Conference where I gave a few talks on Tuesday and wanted to post the Power Point presentations that I used as outlines. You can find them zipped up in a neat little package here (7 MB): HD Production Essentials, HD Delivery and Moving from SD to HD.

Just a couple of caveats: (1) these are just the outlines, but they are rather wordy, (2) I like to use slides as a jumping-off point for discussion, which you won't get just by reading the slides (and (3) the two video clips aren't going to work, but they were pulled from The Joy of Interlacing anyhow, which you can watch on vimeo). So, with that in mind, for those of you who managed to stay awake through my tech talks and were looking for the slides, here they are and thanks for attending! You have my gratitude and my full attention and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have that we didn't manage to answer on Tuesday. (I'd also welcome feedback and criticism on the actual talks as well!) Please, feel free to send me e-mail or, better still, ask your question in the Videopia Forums, where I'm certain your questions will spark more discussion.
