[def - Yes, I know this is old news to all of you here and, yes, this is some pretty shameless self-promotion, but the official 30th Annual Telly Awards winners list was released today, so here's the Official Videopia.org Press Release and Announcement...]
30th Annual Telly Awards Press Release For Immediate Release Videopia Wins Four Telly Awards
Videopia specializes in comprehensive multimedia training utilizing traditional techniques (such as a text book) as well as more modern tools, like a dynamically interactive online community and the latest video technology. Four different programs won awards across four diverse categories this year: Informational, Training, How to/DIY and Online Program. "I was genuinely surprised to win four awards," Videopia producer and founder Eric Franks noted. "I passionately believe in the inherent value of these programs as a part of our larger educational strategy, but it's nice to get a little recognition, too." The four programs on video technology that were honored are: The Joy of Interlacing, Lighting Infinite White, 35mm Lens Adapters and DIY Steadicam. Two of the four Telly Awards won by Videopia were highest honor Silver Awards, joining the single Silver Award won last year. Other Silver Telly Award winners this year include the Art Institute of Chicago, BET News, CBS, Discovery Communications, ESPN, Fox Sports, G4, Lockheed Martin, NASA Television, NBC, PBS, SciFi Channel, The Christian Broadcasting Network, Time Warner Cable, the USDA, Univision and USA Today. ________________ ________________ References:

Jun 24 2009 17:34:17 That is very very cool! Congrats.
Do you have anymore pictures from the event where you received the awards? Was it a big party - I want to hear more. I am guessing DJTV didn't get any. |

Jun 24 2009 20:13:04 Thanks all.
But how did you find that link, Jeff?! (I mean, I know exactly how it got there - the "news" is not just magically spreading about the Internets - just wondering how you stumbled upon it.) And, no Dave, DJ didn't have any content to enter this year (and someone there would have had to have been motivated enough to enter). Still, the new MDT promo would be a shoe-in for a Silver Telly next year in the Commercial category. |

Re:Videopia Wins 4 Telly Awards
Jun 25 2009 01:38:09 Yowsa. Do a google search for "videopia" and "telly" and also do another search for "videopia" alone. The press release pops up with a vengeance.
As one tiny case study, keep in mind that I pushed the press release just this AM. I'm definitely not excited about the super link spam (maybe dilutes legitimate links?), but from a marketing perspective, it sure is interesting. |

Re:Videopia Wins 4 Telly Awards
Jun 25 2009 12:34:18 OK, realizing this may not be the clearest thing I ever written about, I thought it wise to add some info for you guys.
1- Go to Google, make sure you are logged into your account 2- Click the "more" pull down menu on the upper left 3- Go to the very bottom and click "even more" 4- At that point you should be here, www.google.com/intl/en/options/ 5- Tons of Stuuuuuuff here, but click the first option,"Alerts". That should bring you here, www.google.com/alerts?hl=en Now enter your parameters, when google finds what your looking for, you get an email about it, easy!!!! It doesn't find everything but it is the lazy way of doing a perpetual search. You can then manage those searched through Google reader if you use that to keep up with blogs, RSS feeds etc... kinda slick on Googles part. |
