What do you call, wearable, waterproof and rugged? I'm not sure what your answer would have been but more than likely, your fitst thoughts would not have been a camcorder! Manufactured across the big pond in the UK, the Predator is available in the  US now for approx. $600.00. This camera may not be the camera of choice for your first feature film, but it has been designed around and for rugged sports action.

Aimed at the videographer or producer with a definite affinity towards a WIDE variety of sports, think of the X-Games plus more, this camcorder does the job. The Predator VX360 has a wearable control box with a  2.4" TFT display, which is normally worn around the wrist or arm during events but versatile enougn to be strapped to a mast during boating events also. The video is captured through an "eyeball" camera worn around the head or strapped to a helmet, capapble of capturing a  somewhat disappointing 640x480 resolution. The unit will hold up to 8 Gigs of media (approx. 45 mins) on its SD/SDHC media card, while encoding  to none other than a DivX file format, wrapped in an Avi wrapper. No worries for US customers the unit is ambidexterious and records in both PAL and NTSC formats.
