Full Disclosure: I'm pals with Sean Mullen, the founder of Rampant Media Design Tools.

I'm proud to pass along news that a new motion graphics company, Rampant Media Design Tools, has launched its first 17 products. And I'm also excited to announce that we (videopia readers) get a special coupon code for 15% off, because 15% off of "cheap" is "even cheaper". Still, cheap crap is still crap, so you might wonder "What do I get for cheap?" Well, you get top-notch, high end elements for motion graphics, so you can create stuff like this:

It really is a motion graphics world out there and it's often not enough to just be an editor nowadays and, if you're anything like me (i.e., have some technical skills and a lot of enthusiasm, but not much artistic talent), you need the artsy fartsy stuff and inspiration to get you going. And that's what Rampant Media Design Tools provides. Textures, vector art,  stock clips and so on. There's a lot of this stuff around - most notably Digital Juice (Full Disclosure: I used to work for them too) - so why check out Rampant's elements? For one, it's simply a matter of if you like what you see, then you, well, like what you see. For another, Rampant's founder, multiple Emmy and Telly award winner Sean Mullen, is genuinely a motion graphics prodigy who really knows his stuff. He was the primary VFx guy for the effects-heavy TV show Charmed, did some work for a chick named Buffy the Vampire Slayer, pals around with Walt Disney and is backed by the awesome power of a fully-operational United States Army National Guard. Seriously.

If you saw Avatar in all of its Imax 3D glory, you saw Mr. Mullen's work for the Guard. Oh, and full-full disclosure: Sean Mullen used to work for Digital Juice as well and was responsible for the first Motion Designer's Toolkit (still my favorite DJ product ever) as well as the Compositor's Toolkit and assorted other mischief.

Even so, 62 imdb credits or no, you either like Sean's products or not, which is why I unhesitatingly recommend heading over to http://rampantdesigntools.com and checking out what's on offer. Oh, and don't forget to type in the soooper sekrit code word "VIDEOPIA" on check out to get your 15% off.
